Marin County Triathlon, San Rafael (CA)

The Marin County Triathlon benefits multiple local charities and I decided to race to support Jenny's Light, a non-profit organization raising awareness and helping people affected by postpartum illness. We were able to raise some money and interest for Jenny's Light while racing at a gorgeous location north of the Golden Gate Bridge.
The race was a tune up for the upcoming Tricalifornia races and the focus was on the good cause rather than the performance. I had a good race and am looking forward to racing the ITU race at Treasure Island. I am slowly getting back in shape and showed some encouraging signs with a solid race just coming off a cold. My swim is coming along nicely, and I road my road bike instead of my time trial bike to get ready for Treasure Island. The run was decent although it was hard to really get it going on those trails. Overall, it was a good weekend for an even better cause.
